Tongue Piercing After Care:
*Gargle with Listerine after anything but water enters your mouth (i.e.: kissing, smoking & eating)
*Swelling is very normal. Keep ice in your mouth at all times to help reduce this!
*Be good to yourself; eat soft foods high in nutrition.
*A new tongue piercing increases the chances of transmitting a STD, more so when they are fresh, but even after healing is complete; use caution.
*In 10-21 days you should be ready to wear a shorter bar in your tongue. We highly recommend wearing jewelry that is internally threaded in your tongue.
*Some soreness, mild bleeding, and redness are normal parts of the immediate healing process. Signs of infection include; a bright-red ring around your piercing, the piercing or surrounding area burning, pain in touching the ring itself. Most mild infections can be treated successfully with home remedies. If you have any fears please contact us or your doctor.
*We recommend that you check the balls to ensure they are on securely every time you brush your teeth. Keeping your jewelry intact is your responsibility.
