Piercing After Care:

*Always wash your hands before touching your new piercing. Have anyone else wishing to touch your piercing do the same (for oral contact, use an oral disinfectant like Listerine).
*Soak your new piercing daily. Baths work well for this, but soaked cotton balls or cupped hands can work in the shower as well. Use a good quality anti-bacterial soap like Dial.
*After the piercing has been soaked & crusties have been removed wash piercing 2-3 times a day until fully healed. Wash daily after healing process. Make sure you completely rinse all soap out of the piercing.
*Gently dry the area. Never use hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol or ointments on your new body piercing. Use your own judgement on sexual activity. BE GENTLE until your piercing is healed. Avoid Swimming in Lakes for the initial healing process.
*Some soreness, mild bleeding, and redness are normal parts of the immediate healing process. Signs of infection include; yellow to green discharge, a bright-red ring around your piercing, the piercing or surrounding area burning, pain in touching the ring itself. Most mild infections can be treated successfully with home remedies such as Epsom Salt soaks prior to cleaning. If you have any questions please contact us or your doctor. Keep in mind salt solutions will dry out your piercing after prolonged use.
*Please be aware that you should only use good quality jewelry (implant quality surgical steel, 14kt gold) and should not use any jewelry smaller than 14guage.
